beauty garland

anyone who throws parties, goes to parties, or obsessively looks at photos of parties online (I do all of the above), knows that Confetti System's tassel garlands are all the rage...

they're seriously rad but also seriously pricy, which obviously starts DIY dreams a'brewin' in my brain. these can't be that hard to make, right? very time-consuming, sure...but certainly not terribly difficult or costly.

I love how they look layered all over a wall, as a backdrop for a photobooth. or hung thick and low in a courtyard entryway or above a cocktail table, with twinkle lights cleverly woven in to give off a little glow and sparkle...

for further inspiration, check out Confetti System's amazing studio:

I really want to try this...anyone else given it a shot?

This would look fantastic in a child's room ... as a border or some sort. I am loving it!

I had a pinata made for my 30th birthday that was modeled after the one by Confetti Systems for Urban Outfitters. My (Mexican) friend went to a party supply shop in LA and they made it for me. But I haven't tried any tassel-age...

I've almost purchased one of these garlands like 10 times and then convinced myself it was too much money. I might try a DIY soon though and I will definitely report back!
