sweet-ish

I have to brag a little, because I had THE MOST productive weekend I've had in a really long time. I got up pretty early both Friday and Saturday, walked around the Silverlake Reservoir (yes, even in 90 degree heat), did a lot of cleaning and putting away, weeded out 3 bags of clothes and junk jewelry to donate, took Bunny to a doggie audition (don't ask), and sanded and put the first coat of paint on the living room chairs. I can't wait to get them finished!

I'm still totally hot on that Schumacher fabric, but I thought I'd share some swatches of my favorite Swedish floral prints too, because I can. they're bold for sure, but are sweet and delicate at the same time...

but possibly the most exciting thing to happen this weekend, was when my dear friend asked me to be her wedding planner!! she and her fiance are two of the best people I know (not to mention dedicated readers of MLA) and I am beyond excited to help them organize this big event.

it's quite a personal occasion, so I won't be splashing any details here...but I might share some inspiration with you as I wade through new territory: wedding blogs. it's actually been really nice to see that there are so many couples who have opted for weddings that are eco-friendly, DIY, locally grown, and green. it really feels like weddings are starting to be fun again and not so scary-over-the-top!

I am honored to be a part of this event and look forward to bringing a little of my crafty expertise to the table!

(I'm no where near getting married though and have thought to ) I've never done it but just *know* i could do it. i'm slightly obsessed with event planning you see...

so exciting for you! could this be the start of a new career??
